Here are the course rules for players at Queen's Park Golf Course

Rules and Regulations, Code of Conduct 

Queen's Park is committed to providing an environment that is free of discrimination, harassment and intimidation for all guests and employees.

All club members, season ticket holders and visitors are reminded that an acceptable standard of behaviour must be maintained at all times, both on the golf course and within the pavilion/facility.

Unacceptable behaviour towards staff and public will not be tolerated, and disciplinary procedures will be considered in all cases.

This code of conduct is applicable to all club members, season ticket holders and visitors.

Out of Bounds

A ball is out of bounds if it lies:

  • Beyond any fence bounding the course.Over any line of white posts.

  • On or over any tarmacadam footpath boarding the course.

  • Over the posts surrounding the car park to the left of the 16th hole.

  • On the practice putting green.

Water Hazards

The ditch to the right of the 16th fairway is a Lateral Water Hazard (Rules 26-1c).  All other trenches and ditches on the course and the boating lake are Water Hazards.

Immovable Obstructions

  • All paths are immovable obstructions, from which relief under 24-2b is permitted.

  • Sprinkler Heads. All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2.

  • Protective Screen 10th hole. Notwithstanding Rule 24-2, the fence to the right of the green intervenes on the line of play, the ball may be lifted and dropped in one of the two dropping zones. The selection of zone dependant on the relative position of the ball. The dropping zone to the rear of the green must only be used when the ball lies beyond the red painted fence post. Alternatively the ball may be played as it lies.

  • ‘Ball Stop’ fencing on the 3rd, 4th, 8th and 10th tees are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2 is permitted.

Stones in Bunkers

Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1).

Course Protection

A ball lying within any of the enclosures of young trees, to the right of the 14th and to the left of the 18th fairways (apart from out of bounds areas) must be lifted and dropped outside the enclosure at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, without penalty. 

Stakes Trees

A ball that lies so close to a tree that the tree interferes with the stance or the area of the intended swing must be dropped clear of the tree under the provision of Rule 24-2.

Ground Under Repair

Play is prohibited from any area marked "Ground Under Repair".

General Information

Queen’s Park Golf Course is also a Public Open Space, and as such members of the public do have right of access to the area. It is therefore asked that players give way to the public and show consideration to other users of the site.

Queen’s Park Golf Course restricts the use of trolleys and buggies during periods of inclement weather conditions, such as periods of heavy rainfall or hard frosts, so as to protect the course and its infrastructure. It is advised that the society organiser checks on the day of play, to determine whether this facility is available. For further details, please read our buggy policy.
